I got to be a kid again. \u00a0Water fun, splashing, swimming, diving, being with friends. \u00a0I was fortunate enough to spend some time at a beautiful lake with friends this summer and what a transformation it gave me!\u00a0 I felt younger, healthier, happier and more ALIVE than I\u2019d felt all summer long. Sometimes what we need comes in such simple but beautiful ways.\u00a0 Just being blessed enough to spend time in the gorgeous summer sun, by a clean lake surrounded by woods and nature with friends\u2026well, I can\u2019t even tell you how soul enlivening that was!\u00a0 I survived with no cell service (which I hardly use anyway since it seems to control people\u2019s lives) and no internet, and\u00a0I felt\u00a0the greatest gift of all\u2026connecting with playful friends just being silly, swimming and enjoying the weather and life!\u00a0 Ahhhhhh.\u00a0 No one worried about body image, make up or wearing the right clothes.\u00a0 We enjoyed being together, having healthy food, and visiting in the evenings!\u00a0 I felt FABULOUS, FREE and so wonderful!! \u00a0It really awakened in me that I want to bring more of that into my everyday life.<\/p>\n

It seems that we just turn around and there is a new phone, app, and the latest and greatest updates of EVERYTHING, but am I the only one thinking, where are we all going so fast?\u00a0 …and to WHERE?\u00a0 …for what?\u00a0 Life has been called a rat race for years, and it seems that it\u2019s gotten even faster.\u00a0 With all the internet ways to connect, it seems we are more disconnected than ever before as well.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m all for being professional, but what happened to FUN?\u00a0 Just because we grow out of our teens, does that mean we have to be disconnected and hurt?\u00a0 Do we have to get serious?\u00a0 Do we have to be mean?\u00a0 Does life have to lose its frivolity and playfulness?\u00a0 I don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n

I remember a couple of men that I dated years ago, telling me that I smiled a lot and that I was so much fun to be around!\u00a0 As I look at preschool pictures of myself, I was confident, happy, and yes, playful! I took those comments in with so much pleasure because they felt like\u00a0such a compliment.\u00a0 I loved being who I truly was.<\/p>\n

When people say they\u2019ve lost a part of themselves, I would make a slight adjustment to that belief.\u00a0 It\u2019s not gone\u2014just covered up or buried with emotional heaviness.\u00a0 Here\u2019s some good news!<\/p>\n

Did you know that when you experience an unexpected shock (which can happen at any age), that shock also affects parts of your brain and an associated organ in your body?\u00a0 Did you know that those \u201cshocks\u201d can be reversed and resolved?\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that exciting?\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t that feel empowering?\u00a0 \u00a0So many people are walking dead, not really enjoying life, going so fast but to nowhere.\u00a0 Clients tell me all the time that they want to feel safe, happy, and loved!\u00a0 Are you on that path? Does it feel good?<\/p>\n

When I begin working with clients, I ask them to do a goal\/dream sheet.\u00a0 Why? \u00a0So I know where they want to go, but why they aren\u2019t going there.\u00a0 I can\u2019t tell you how many times I have heard, \u201cI just want to be happy\u201d or \u201cI don\u2019t know what I want\u201d.\u00a0 I say to them and to you, OH, YES YOU DO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!!\u00a0 People are afraid to dream, or to believe in their desires and that comes from what was modeled to you as a child, or from comments telling you that it\u2019s not possible, or maybe you were told to stop dreaming!\u00a0 Yuck!<\/p>\n

Did you have role models that showed you how to be happy or miserable?\u00a0 How to enjoy life or be sad?\u00a0 How to have abundance or struggle?\u00a0 Was their life in balance or were they always running and spinning?\u00a0 Did they enjoy friends or never have time?\u00a0 Did they believe in help from Divine Guidance or feel they were on their own in life?\u00a0 Did you learn how to have a chaotic life or feel peaceful?\u00a0 Did you watch struggle in action or abundance in the flow?\u00a0 Did you see how to resolve relationship and life issues or how to fight?<\/p>\n

Parents, mentors, coaches or authority figures guide you with what they know but that doesn\u2019t mean they know the right path for you. \u00a0YOUR PATH IS YOUR INDIVIDUAL JOURNEY and once you really \u201cget that\u201d energetically, you start making your own decisions in adulthood.\u00a0 Their guidance can only take you so far, and then it\u2019s up to you to tweak it, pay attention to what you love, and start to really design your life.\u00a0 Your desires may look and be different from how you were guided.\u00a0 Is that okay, or is there pressure for you to do it like they did it?\u00a0 Do you even know what you think about all of life\u2019s options?\u00a0 I also hear, “but that\u2019s how (enter your mentor) did it”.\u00a0 BUT THEY ARE NOT YOU!\u00a0 They don\u2019t have your makeup, experience, feelings, and emotions in the same way that you do.\u00a0 That\u2019s why it okay for you to be different from them.\u00a0 They are living their journey, and you are living yours!\u00a0 It\u2019s okay!<\/p>\n

Have you ever listened to what 50 year old women say?\u00a0 Many of them comment about how they now do what is right for them with much less concern about what others think.\u00a0 Men feel the same though you might not hear them express themselves that way.\u00a0 It\u2019s because they have gotten to a point where they\u2019ve tried to by what everyone else wanted them to do and be, and now they want what they want.\u00a0 GOOD!\u00a0 It\u2019s about time\u2026at any age!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s amazing how clients resist doing my goal\/dream sheet because taking that step stirs up emotions and discomfort in many ways for many reasons\u2014which is a step to work through.\u00a0 The good news is that when they finally take that step, I can really help guide them to releasing the energy, emotions, and beliefs that have them in a grip!\u00a0 It\u2019s amazing to watch the miracles that unfold when that unwanted stuff gets released and the true authentic power of a person shines through!\u00a0 They blossom with joy, hope, encouragement, and HAPPINESS!\u00a0 It\u2019s like watching someone come back to life and it\u2019s beautiful to see!<\/p>\n
