Jim Rohn says…you can’t give what you don’t have

I receive Jim Rohn’s newsletter, and I wanted to share a recent excerpt from his, Vitamins for the Mind section.

He said “You cannot speak that which you do not know.  You cannot share that which  you do not feel.  You cannot translate that which you do not have.  And you cannot give that which you do not possess.  To give it and to share it, and for it to be effective, you first need to have it.  Good communication starts with good preparation.”

I agree, based on what I now know about energy.  EVERYTHING starts in energy first.  If you speak with sarcasm, that is anger coming out.  It’s not cute, and it’s not funny to those who feel the sting of the angry undertones.

If you don’t or didn’t feel love, kindness or respect, it will be difficult to trust, or to act in a respected and respectful way, or to love without fear.

While Jim is talking in terms of business communication, I am expanding what he is talking about into the bigger umbrella of life.  There is a deeper story behind what prevents you from speaking, feeling, and having what you want and it’s locked and lodged in your subconscious mind and energy. How do you change that?  You learn to tap.  Get a coach and tap, because when you are in your own emotional energetic “stuff” you are reacting and you cannot create when you are reacting.  Those negative feelings are infiltrating more than you know.  Did you know you will set up sabotage if you feel guilty, scared or undeserving at a subconscious level?  When you clear the ENERGY of the guilt, unworthiness or any other emotional feeling that is holding you back, you will be AMAZED at how quickly a switch can flip and be replaced with calm confidence, and ease!  Tired of waiting?  Then I would ask, are you tapping yet?
