When I read this article about swearing, I have to say I agree with the “fine” idea. Read the article. I am certainly not immune to swearing or using the “F” bomb now and then. I try not to use it in public or when talking on the phone in a public setting. We’ve/I’ve gotten so used to the reality shows where EVERYTHING and ANYTHING is out in public: fights, language, and anger is rampant. We’ve become desensitized to all the anger on the shows, in songs, and in videos, that the constant undercurrent is just as powerful in programming us, as how the advertising world has used ways to subconsciously get us to buy products. Did you ever listen to the commercials about drugs? It could cause heart attacks, strokes, and who knows what else, and yet drugs are being used more and more even being used in manipulation of parents to use on younger kids. I find it so disturbing when there are non-invasive solutions, like Meridian Tapping.
Looking at the issue of swearing from a Success Coach’s point of view, however, there are so many reasons for the acting out with “over the top” frustration in our society. Our anger is a useful emotion just like the positive emotions, but when it gets out of hand, then it’s a huge problem. Anger is useful because it tells us when someone has wronged us, crossed our boundaries or hurt us. It tells us that something needs to change for us to feel safe and comfortable. I also know, that when you find the underlying source of the anger and release it with tapping, you see things very differently, and a new joy and happiness can and does replace the uncomfortable tension and tightness from our bodies.
Our jails are loaded with angry people that didn’t know a different solution. So if you know someone who’s really angry and maybe that’s you, there is relief waiting. Are you tapping yet?
