Am I the only one?

Everyone seems to be less connected than ever and yet, as I watch society interact, I see why.  I might be the only one in the world to feel like this, but I find it insulting when I am with someone who constantly checks their phone for texts and then responds..in the middle of our visit.   When you are with me, could you BE with me and not them?  People are so caught up in connecting and yet you can be sitting visiting with someone who blows you off to answer someone else’s  call or text.   I don’t know.  Maybe I just don’t get it, but if the idea is to connect with people you like and/or care about,  then be in the moment with the person right in front of you!  Are they important to you?  Then show them that they are and get off the phone for the visit!  Whew…that feels better….tap, tap, tap….
