Maid of Honor–a “resistance” story
February 11, 2016

A skilled tapping coach can help uncover and dissolve the reasons that have you stuck.  The closer we get to underlying, subconscious pain, is often when we might want to run and stop tapping sessions!  With client feedback, however, events and emotions can be taken down in stages, so as not to re-traumatize and blocks can be released.

Client feedback, clarity and gut feelings are invaluable when working with a practitioner.  Ask yourself, do I feel safe? Am I being heard?  Does my coach work with me or do I get scolded, reprimanded or pushed?  Does their guidance resonate with me or am I going along with them because I think they know better what is right for me than I do?

When addressing traumatic or hurtful situations, I don’t try to change a client’s negative words or criticize them for “being in their story”.  Those are important clues.  It has been my experienced that focusing on symptoms like trying to put a positive spin on words or ignoring the story replay actually creates MORE client resistance, fear and overwhelm.   Emotions need a safe avenue and voice to be heard and acknowledged before positivity can take hold.  Repetition of words or experiences is a screaming message of how painful it is, and that there are more aspects needing to be released in a safe way.

Positive reframing before clearing negativity is like putting perfume on trash and doesn’t work well.  In fact, it often creates more resistance and keeps feelings and patterns locked in place.  When we can pull out the bottom card in a house of cards, the rest of the house falls down.  The words and the “story” and become a non-issue when the root problem is dissolved!

Subconscious and energetic issues can be released without bulldozing.  I can help a client gently dissect events to prevent overwhelm.  There’s no need for it when there are other, softer ways to clear and release problems.

A good client/practitioner “fit” is very important and it is a two way street.  Both the client and the practitioner should feel respected.  If either feels out of balance, progress will suffer.  One of my clients wanted early morning sessions but I am not at my best in early morning hours.  We shouldn’t push against what doesn’t work for us because we will eventually feel energetic consequences.

Tapping engages the mind, body, and spirit connection.  Symptoms are important clues.  Pushing them down works against their message, and what is trying to get your attention.  Symptoms will scream louder and pain will loop again and again.  How many times do you want to go over the same issue?

A skilled tapping coach will help you to see and release deeper issues all while feeling safe, and feeling lighter through the process!  Will this year feel like more of the same for you or is now the time to refresh?  If you feel moved to take action, begin the process and stop the suffering!  Contact me here.
